Here is what I found. There are four attributes which would lead you to believe it was a video/lecture etc by C G Jung:

Jung image is on the video cover

The Header reads: CARL JUNG ORIGINAL. The subheader reads: HSPS: JUNG’S CHILLING TRUTH YOU’VE NEVER HEARD

The video opens with the familiar setting of Jung in his study, talking about a topic. Moving on from the study, Jung’s voice continues with the subject matter of the video.

The content of the presentation is full of Jungian terminology. The actual text content needs further evaluation.

So what can be pointed out:

The image of Jung on the cover is misleading. Likewise, using his voice throughout the video is most misleading

Jung never used the term HSPS

Using CARL JUNG ORIGINAL is totally misleading.

The highly sensitive person disorder is a modern term and postdates Jung. The nearest he got to it was: “This excessive sensitiveness very often brings an enrichment of the personality and contributes more to its charm than to the undoing of a person’s character.” — C.G. Jung, Collected Works, Vol. 7, paras 85-86 (Two Essays in Analytical Psychology)

There is a lot of the above subtle confusion to be found on the internet. And it will be on the increase as people experiment more with Artificial Intelligence.

Websites, like this one, are intended to counteract this tendency towards confusion.

The focus of this website is to present authentic Jung to people who want to know what he formulated and wrote in a clear and focused manner. A Jungian-trained analyst monitors the content of this website for authenticity.

Leave a Reply Cancel reply

Your email address will not be published. Required fields are marked *

Comment *

Name *

Email *

Website

Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.

image Artificial Intelligence is here to stay, and we have to learn how to evaluate and use it.
